Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Care

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

Unfortunately the Indigenous population is at higher risk of multiple chronic disease and cancers

Multidisciplinary approve to diabetes, heart disease, obesity, infections, immunisations, mental health and different cancer risks in the Aboriginal community.

We are committed to supporting reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian people.

In keeping with the spirit of Reconciliation, we acknowledge the Gubbi Gubbi People, traditional owners of the lands where Kon-Tiki Medical Centre now stands, and recognise that these have always been places of health, peace, teaching and learning.

We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging – and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to play within the Maroochydore community.

Please find the link attached from the RACGP college to direct the best possible primary care in our communities.
